Calendar for 2018-2019 school year

The calendar for the 2018-2019 school year is falling into place. The first day of school will be on Aug. 22, 2018 and spring break will be shorter due to PSSA testing.

Doors and windows project

Agreements with VEBH Architects and Smith Construction Services for the doors and windows project at the high school have been reached. The construction will start over the summer.

Adopt a Highway

NHS proposed an Adopt a Highway plan to the school board on Feb. 13. The plan was approved, and the club is currently waiting on approval from PennDOT. The club is hoping to pick up trash on Third Avenue in Freedom and Harvey Run Road.

Quill and Scroll Honors Society

On Thursday, March 1, Freedom Area High School will induct their first group of students to the Quill and Scroll Society. The induction ceremony will take place at 7 p.m.

PAWS Program

The PAWS Program at the middle school has been a huge success. This month, the state performed a fidelity check to approve the program onto the next phase.
