The importance of positive thinking: Positive thinking could have more effects than one

Today more than anything, we take things for granted. When we don’t get something that we want, we complain about it. The same goes for when a person wants to do something. Instead of freaking out, blaming everyone else and saying that you have the worst life ever, think positive. It’s free, and it will make you feel better.

Try to stop looking for the worst in everything. Try to remember that something good always comes out of the bad, and that’s what everyone should be focusing on instead. Whether it’s in your classes, at home or even on sports teams, push through it and think about the possible benefits from the whole situation.

Every student and person who has ever played any type of sport, whether it be for school, or a recreational league, know that there’s always something to complain about. For example, many complaints can come from a drill that the coach sets up, getting more playing time than others on the team and what the temperature is like during the season.

There always seems to be something that people are complaining about. Instead of throwing a temper tantrum over anything, just be thankful that you’re allowed and able to play. Remember, there is always someone that wishes that they could be in your position and be able to do what you are able and capable to do. You aren’t going to improve skillwise if you’re refusing to do what the coach asks, because you learn by watching. We as people, learn from observing others doing what we want to do. If everyone just looked at it like that, we would all be much happier people.

Being teenagers, most are naturally moody, cranky, irritable and dislike everything. In class, more than anything, the teachers see it come out in their students.

“We all have bad days. Sometimes it helps to vent, but sometimes, it’s just better to suck it up and do whatever is asked of you,” Mrs. Maria Porter said.

Because you’re in a bad mood, doesn’t mean that you need to take it out on everyone around you. The teachers are there to help you and be willing to do whatever it takes for you to succeed. It’s as simple as just listening to what they have to say. You never know, it could really change your perspective. When we look at something in a different light, it makes us think and consider different possibilities. Sometimes, it wakes us up, we realize that our life really isn’t that bad.

Just think, if we aren’t walking around being extremely negative and grumpy, everything would go so much smoother. With a world filled with people that have a much more positive outlook on life, we would all be so much happier. Focus on the good. Work though the bad. Try not to let the little things get to you. Keep your head up, and be that person that spreads happiness and positivity to everyone around you.
