The girls have spent the past few weeks practicing and perfecting their skills on the playing field. They have taken on various schools in both their conference and their section. They hold an overall record of 7-8.
With the regular season coming to an end, the team has to focus their efforts and strengths with every section game they play in order to make the playoffs. In the playoffs, if the team loses, they are eliminated and are not able to advance any further. With their current record, the girls hold high hopes to advance far into the playoffs and beat last year’s record.
“I feel like the season has gone by so fast, and I do not think that it has hit me yet that we could be coming up on the end of my last season,” Farisa Roberts (12) said. “I think if we play strong and connect well on the field, then we will do better and get farther into the playoffs.”
The girls travelled to Eden Christian Academy on Sept. 15 and persevered, working together on the field as a team. Due to their hard work and skill, the girls were able to top the Warriors with a score of 7-1 in this section game.
After defeating Eden Christian, the team took on South Side on Sept. 17, where they annihilated the Rams and defeated them with a whopping score of 9-3. Wins like this in section games are extremely important not only for their records, but they can also be useful for intimidation against other teams, as some schools research and watch teams before taking them on.
The team then hosted Riverside at Bulldog Stadium on Sept. 22 for another section game. The girls played the Panthers for their first section game on Aug. 25 and fell to the Panthers with a score of 2-1. The girls were not able to top Riverside the second time around either, and lost with a score of 1-0.
“Our season has been full of ups and downs. We have had really good moments together as a team and great games, fun bus rides and silly practices,” Hannah Houy (11) said. “Even when we have bad games, we always come back the next day ready to work and get better.”
Regaining their win streak, the girls travelled to Mohawk on Oct. 1 for another section game, where they took on the Warriors. They topped the Warriors with a final score of 3-2.
Taking a break from section games, the girls hosted Washington High School on Oct. 6. Before the game started, the senior night ceremony took place, celebrating seniors Alyssa Bearer, Roberts, Brianne Casto, Trinity Vojtko and Mackenzie Mohrbacher. Following the senior night celebration, the girls topped Washington Prexies with a score of 6-0, with each of the seniors adding a goal to the scoreboard.
On Oct. 8, they hosted Eden Christian Academy for their second section game against the Warriors. Unable to keep their streak against the warriors, the girls fell to them with a final score of 3-1.
The following day, the team headed to Central Valley to take on the Warriors for their final conference game of the season. The girls were defeated by the Warriors with a final score of 3-0.
On Oct. 13 the girls loaded up the buses and headed to South Side for their final section game and final overall game of the season. Redeeming themselves, the girls were able to dominate the field and came out on top with a final score of 7-2, leaving their final season with a good send off.
As the girls wrapped up the 2025 season, they headed off to the playoffs to try and come out on top of all the other teams. As emotions are high for the departing seniors, the underclassmen wish them a farewell and good luck in their future endeavors. The underclassmen will work during the offseason to fill the shoes of their senior teammates.
