Why does (s)he play: Kemerer says she plays because, “I was raised playing baseball and stuck by it by playing softball.” She says that it has become her life. Who is his/her favorite coach: Coach B (Mrs. Berger) is her favorite coach because she makes it “fun, but serious and intense.” Kemerer has “learned a lot from her.” His/her favorite professional athlete: Her favorite athlete is the pitcher for the USA team, Cat Osterman. She is her favorite because she is one of the best college pitchers ever.” His/her favorite memory of high school athletics: Her favorite moment was during her sophomore year. During a practice, while the team was scrimmaging in the gym, she made an “amazing play” at third base. She said, “It was so good, that I probably couldn’t do it again.”
