Story Walk
The elementary school will be hosting its annual “Story Walk” event, named “Blast Off to Reading,” on March 2 at 6:00 p.m.

School-Wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS)
A conference to discuss the newly enacted positive behavior program will be held in Hershey, Pennsylvania. on May 16-18. Using the grant of $10,000 received last month to execute the program, this trip will be funded.

School Lunch Cost
All school lunch costs have been raised five cents because, as Food Service Administrator Randy Walker explained, “the federal government requires school districts to increase paid lunch prices if the paid lunch price is not equal to the free lunch reimbursement amount.” The elementary school lunch is now $2.40, the middle school lunch is now $2.50 and the high school lunch is now $2.55.

Resignations
Resignations from Robert James as the Assistant Marching Band Director and Greg Cercone as the Varsity Boy’s Basketball Coach have been approved. James’ resignation will be effective after the 2016-2017 school year and Cercone’s after the 2016-2017 basketball season.

Donkey Basketball
There was a competition against the students and teachers from all over the district in a game of donkey basketball on Feb. 28. Students and teachers will gather together in the high school gym and play basketball against each other while riding donkeys. The cost is six dollars if you bought a ticket before the event, however tickets were also sold for eight dollars at the door.
