Ready for renovations: With the renovations currently underway in the Bulldog Boutique, the Boutique itself has been mainly empty other than nurse’s office equipment. The Closet Company has been working to install storage units and utilize all space possible.

For the past several years, the Bulldog Boutique, which is located in the nurse’s office, was a place for the community to obtain living necessities. These necessities include sanitary articles, care products and clothing when they needed it. Currently, the boutique is undergoing renovations in the hope of creating a more modern environment for students.

Since the upbringing of the renovations, those in charge of the project have been in relation with The Closet Factory. The Closet Factory is a company that, as the name suggests, works in closet spaces. They have been working toward renovating and updating the Bulldog Boutique space and turning it into something new.

Prior to the refurbishment of the boutique, the space had clothing racks and storage shelves with folded clothes and other supplies, as well as some bins that held necessities. The Closet Factory is not only going to organize the items in the boutique for easier access and sorting, but they will also be modernizing the space itself. They are giving the Boutique a fresh coat of paint, then installing shelves, racks and drawers.

“It will be a completely new space; we are excited to reveal it to everyone,” Ms. Carrie Tuszynski, secretary at the high school, and one of the main contributors to the revamping project, said.

So far, the Closet Factory has ordered the supplies needed to complete the project and will be able to work further toward the next steps. The company has ordered a variety of storage supplies to help turn the empty boutique space into something the community can use. According to Tuszynski, the project will move quickly once the proper and needed supplies have arrived. While there is no set or projected time period in which the project will be completed, it is likely that it will only take a few days for The Closet Factory to install everything.

As the revamping project awaits its requisites, others in the community are working toward helping out in the boutique. One senior, Stella McKevitt, is providing donations for the Boutique as part of her senior project. She has been collecting new, unopened packs of socks, deodorant and underwear, and plans on giving these supplies to the Bulldog Boutique as her part of helping the community.

The Bulldog Boutique was created with the intention of giving to those in need and has served its purpose for several years; however, now the space will have a brand new look, it will benefit the community and anyone who helps out with the boutique. With these upcoming changes made to the space, the Bulldog Boutique may be easier to access and provide a better overall experience for those who utilize it.
