Good-Bye from the Boss

After four years as a part of the newspaper staff, I can honestly say that I will be sad to pass the responsibility on. From my “Through the Eyes of a Freshman” article four years ago to my final goodbye letter, newspaper has been an incredible experience. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes being editor-in-chief was a nightmare, but for the most part, I had a lot of fun. My 720 days in Freedom High School are almost over, and a part of me is sad to see them end. This building holds a ton of incredible memories for me, from the musicals to cross country practice, and of course the infamous band camp. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, but most importantly, I’ve learned. It’s not only academic lessons that Freedom has taught me, but life lessons as well. I’m not going to get all sentimental and tell you that I don’t want to leave, because the truth is that I can’t wait to get out of here. But I’ll take these last few days as they come, and make the most of every moment, because they are all that I have left. I’ll miss the underclassmen I leave behind dearly, but I know they’ll keep in touch. To my fellow staff members- I am very thankful that I have had the chance to work with all of you this year. We have brought this newspaper so far in this past year. Get the underclassmen involved next year and keep improving our FHS Press.
