Guitar Hero: World Tour

Everybody in the world has daydreamt about being a rock star at one point in their lives. There are multiple video games that make living this dream seem almost a reality. With hot new games like Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rockband 2, people are able to act as though they and their friends are members of a big rock band. Both games are part of a larger series. Guitar Hero, which currently has six different video games, was originally developed by Harmonix Music Systems and is currently worked on by Neversoft; it is published by RedOctane. The guitar that comes bundled with the Guitar Hero games is made up of a whammy-bar, strum-bar, and five different colored fret buttons. The object of the game is to hold down the correct fret buttons and strum the strum-bar at the correct time. The order of fret button colors from top to bottom is green, red, yellow, blue, and orange. There are multiple difficulty settings that are able to be played on. For beginners there is easy and medium; while for more adept players, the hard and expert settings provide more of a challenge to show their Guitar Hero prowess. The earlier versions of Guitar Hero were only made with the aspect of the guitar being used. Their latest version, Guitar Hero: World Tour was developed to accommodate a microphone, drum set, bass guitar, and the usual guitar. The guitar designs have changed every time a newer version comes out, but they have all been based off of Gibson guitar models. All four “instruments” are able to be played simultaneously or individually. If you want, you’re even able to play against or along with players from around the world, by using the online capabilities of the newer game consoles. Guitar Hero is by far the greatest series of games ever created. Each game contains a large number of “set-list” and “bonus” songs as well as downloadable content. These songs are mostly master tracks that range from the 1960s to current day music. For just around the price of any other video game on the market, you’ll definitely be making a sound investment by purchasing any of the Guitar Hero games out there. Pick up a copy today and start rocking like a pro.
