Luke Mesing: Slacker or Video Game God?

Luke Mesing may be our schools top internet gamer. If you know anything about him, you’d know that anytime you see him, he has a computer screen directly in front of his face. He trains relentlessly during class. No one is more committed to the cause. He may be the only student who gets away with it every day of his life. That might be due to the fact that teachers are so used to seeing a computer in front of him that they don’t think twice. Luke also has a twin who of course is the same way. Mesing says he manages to play a lot of video games, but says he will only play if he gets his work done first. He then laughed and said “Usually…” With all this time on the internet, Luke has gained the lightning fast reflexes of a puma. He is also a pro when it comes to internet gaming. So if you have any questions, I’m sure he would be glad to pass some of his infinite wisdom down to you. Luke has three favorite games. His number one (by far) is Super Bubbles or Bubble Shooter depending on who you ask. I’ve personally seen this kid play that game for hours. He’s addicted. It took many hours of training before he cleared the final level and was ranked amongst the top Bubble Shooters in the world. He says that when he gets bored of Bubble Shooter, he surfs other websites looking for new games. His other two favorite are Crazy Karts from Miniclip.com and Bloons. When asked about his favorite websites to play games on he quickly shot off many names. He had an extremely difficult time deciding on the top five. After much deliberation, he gave me the list. Some of these may be blocked from the students here at Freedom High. Kongregate.com Notdoppler.com Miniclip.com Armourgames.com Addicting games.com Mesing claims that the best class to play internet games in is Study Hall. That may have been the safest answer for him though, because he smiled as he said it. I asked him if his addiction ever got him in any trouble during class. Although it may have caused a few assignments not getting turned in, he has never gotten any detentions. He says he’s just been “told” to get off. I asked the master if there was any way to play these games during class without getting caught. His answer failed me. He claims there is no way to not get caught. You either do or you don’t. His advise is to make sure that you have all your work done before playing. This way your grade isn’t affected and you probably won’t get yelled at either. Luke doesn’t play these internet games at home. Without trying to sound like the laziest human that ever lived, he says there he has a television and “Why do all this work with your hands when you can just sit there?” Luke also has another internet addiction. He frequently visits the site Goanimate.com during class. There he creates funny mini cartoons. He recommends checking them out. Just go to the site and search for his latest creation it’s called “Bunnies Take Over”. If you have any trouble finding it, his username is Striker277, that should make it easier. I to witness this create genius give birth to his cartoon. It is hilarious and if you ever get bored during class check it out. (After you work is done of course.) Mesing definitely is passionate about his online gaming habits. He spoke with much enthusiasm. He also had something a little extra he wanted me to add to all of this. When asked if he had any final comments for the readers, he exclaimed “I love Nolan Rider”. What can I say? I have my fans out there. I would just like to say that “I love you too!” and also that your playoff beard is beautiful.
