Spooky season is here and Halloween lovers have started their Halloween movie binge at the very beginning of October. Some scary movies that are a necessity to watch are The Conjuring, Halloween, Scream, and IT. Many Halloween fanatics have gatherings where friends and family have a scary movie marathon. Scary movies are appealing to those who enjoy being overwhelmed with adrenaline and thrill. Halloween is a holiday that requires people to get scared, so most people seek out haunted houses or scary movies. 

There are many things that make Halloween so special. A very special tradition that people around the world participate in is trick or treating. Children from across the world dress up and walk down the streets of their neighborhoods, knocking on each door and receiving candy. In most cases, children will go out to find a costume that they love and they think other people will love as well weeks in advance. Costumes range from scary characters from movies to characters from video games. Halloween is the one night a year when a child can dress up and be what they choose to. People from every house in each neighborhood sit outside and wait for these children to come up to them and ask for candy. Some people splurge and give out king-sized candy bars while others settle and give out fun-sized candy. Another extremely popular tradition for Halloween is decorating. People decorate their houses and cars. Some people keep their decorations simple and put out some pumpkins and hay bales while others go all out and buy inflatables of their favorite characters. The decorations that people put out range from giant skeletons to an animatronic Jason Voorhees.

Scary movies have characters in them that some people grow fond of. Some very popular characters from movies would be Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, Pennywise, Micheal Myers and Ghostface. Children find these characters appealing and choose to be them for trick or treating. Children either buy costumes that resemble these characters from stores or make them at home. Adults decide to decorate their houses and cars with stickers or life-sized characters from movies. People tend to decorate their houses to show their love for the holiday and the feeling of being scared.
