Bulldog Award
The district wide “Bulldog Award” was awarded to elementary student Jakob Jones, middle school student Alexis Surenda and class standing Shane Everette for their exceptional efforts and attitude as a Freedom student.

BCCTC Graduation Ceremony
The 39th annual Beaver County Career and Technology Center graduation ceremony will take place on May 26 at 12:30 p.m. at the Community College of Beaver County.

Memorial Day Parade
The annual Memorial Day Parade will take place on May 29, beginning at 9:30 a.m., in Freedom and 11 a.m. in Conway.

Circle of Scholars Dinner
The Circle of Scholars dinner will take place on May 31 at 6:30 p.m. at Franzee’s-Javy’s in Ambridge.

Teacher Transfers
Current full-time high school technology teacher Beth Majors will transfer to the middle school as a full-time technology teacher. Current part-time high school and middle school technology teacher Dave Badamo will transfer to the full-time high school technology position. Lastly, Ms. Wendy Clibbens will transfer from a sixth grade teaching position to a math specialist. These will all occur at the start of the 2017-2018 school year.

Extra Curricular Approvals
Current high school Social Studies teacher Jeffrey Griffith was approved as head varsity boys’ basketball coach for the 2018 season. Mr. Ron Steffania was approved as assistant marching band director. Mr. Timothy Weick was approved as assistant middle school play director.
