Teacher Resignation

High School Math Teacher Ed Shephard is retiring from working as a teacher at Freedom Area School District as of Jan. 31.

 

High School Renovations

The school board has decided to move forward with plans to replace the windows and doors. The school board has come up with a plan to accept open bids from bidders with a good, better, best bidding system. Plans are to do the renovations over the summer in order for them to be complete by the time students return.

 

Track Project Plans

Drawings are being finalized for the new stadium, along with demolition work start to be done on the red bleachers. Groundbreaking is planned to be on May 11, with the project being completed by mid-August.

 

New Hall Monitor

Soccer Coach Colin Williams was hired to be a new hall monitor was hired at Freedom High School, along with the already existing one.
