Sleigh bells ringing throughout the entire year

By the time March hits, I’m ready for that magical time to start again. If you haven’t guessed what that magical time is, it would be my favorite day of the year: Christmas. Maybe it’s because I just have a passion for the holiday spirit, or maybe I’m just psychotic. By the time school started for the year, I already had my Santa Claus coffee cup whipped out for my daily trip to FHS. Joyous Christmas music, mounds of perfect packing snow, peppermint-flavored everything and relentless baking; what’s not to love? October through the end of the December is packed with holiday fun, and that is why it’s my favorite time of the year. Seeing snow before Halloween is like being handed the keys to a new car from Oprah herself. It is worth risking death every time I travel down my steep, serpentine driveway to see the light snowfall on the bare tree branches surrounding my home. Okay, maybe not death, but it definitely takes a shot at the ol’ nerves. Speaking of nerves, my family has none left; I’ve used the last of them. Their nerves are completely fried because my favorite Pandora station is titled “Christmas Music,” and I listen to it year round. It doesn’t matter whether I’m baking, doing homework, driving or even showering; it is always on. Sure, it may annoy my family to the point of earplugs, but I love it. Just remember, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear. There is nothing I enjoy more than the holiday season. Getting to see someone’s face light up when you give them a small gift to show your appreciation or the feeling you get when you open up a Christmas card is genuinely rewarding. Also, I wouldn’t complain about Christmas vacation. A break right before midterms? Studying, presents, family time and snow? I’ll take it.
